Context is a friendly convention focused on speculative fiction literature and related games, comics and films.
If you enjoy manga, anime, science fiction, fantasy, or horror, you'll find plenty to entertain you at this convention.
Our 2010 GoHs will include Tobias Buckell; there will be many other guests.
Context will be held August 27-29, 2010 in Columbus, Ohio, at the Doubletree Hotel.
Instead of a masquerade, we will be having a hall costume contest. The theme this year will be dressing as literary characters, be they protagonists from books or famous scribes like Edgar Allan Poe. Great prizes will be awarded!
(Disclaimer: attending authors, even if they're real characters, won't get prizes for simply dressing as themselves.)

So, if you'd like to compete in (or just watch) the MatsuriCon cosplay competition, just take your full-weekend Context badge to their registration table, and you can get into as many MatsuriCon events as you want for $10.
