Context guests at Penguicon

Several Context participants will be attending Penguicon 6.0 this weekend in Troy, MI. Context writing workshops coordinator Lucy A. Snyder will be one of their Nifty guests and will be participating in panels such as "Basic Survival Skills for Authors", "Excellence in an Economy of Words--Why Write Short Fiction?", "NaNoWriMo: Good idea or waste of time?" and "Johnny Can't Read and Nobody Thinks it's a Problem".

She's attending partly to support her humor collection Installing Linux on a Dead Badger, but she's also looking forward to meeting guests such as Randall Munroe of xkcd, authors Vernor Vinge and Elizabeth Bear, and Jennie Breeden, creator of the Devil's Panties. She's also hoping to score some open-source software and new Linux tips. Her husband, Gary A. Braunbeck (former Context horror GoH), is mainly looking forward to Penguicon's Brazilian beef barbecue and liquid nitrogen ice cream. Not that he's antisocial, of course.
